Hours of operation

The StarTUp at the Armory is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m.

Access and fees

The space is free and open to the public, and no membership is required. We ask that all visitors check-in at a kiosk upon arrival for security purposes.

Important information before you visit

  • Parking: Please refer to our parking information prior to visiting.
  • Check-in: Please check in at the kiosk when you arrive.
  • Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available at tu-openaccess.
  • Lockers: Free lockers are available for use throughout the day, but must be emptied by closing time. Contents cannot be left in lockers overnight.
  • Kitchen: No kitchen support is available to the public. No food storage, preparation, or warming equipment is provided.

Co-working rules and expectations

  • Conference rooms: Conference rooms are available by reservation only. Reservation requests must be submitted at least 24 business hours before the requested time. They are free for groups of five or more, based on availability.
  • Second floor access: Public access is not permitted. The second floor (including mezzanines) is restricted to StarTUp resident companies, ventures and staff.
  • Phone and video calls: Visitors are encouraged to take phone calls or video meetings in the co-working space. Please keep volume low and consider using headphones. We also offer three acoustical booths, which are ideal for private calls.
  • Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available at tu-openaccess throughout the space.
  • Restrooms: Two gender-neutral restrooms are available. Please ask a staff member for directions.
  • Lactation room: A lactation room is available. Please ask a staff member for directions.

Conference room use and policies

  • Reservations and fees: Conference rooms are free for organizations holding non-revenue-generating meetings or events. Revenue-generating organizations must make a donation to the StarTUp before booking.
  • Furniture and equipment care: Conference room furniture and technology must be treated with care. Groups responsible for damage will be required to pay for repairs or replacements.
  • Cancellation policy: We require at least 48 business hours’ notice to cancel a reservation. If the reservation is on a Monday, cancellation must be made by the previous Friday. No-shows may lose priority for future reservations.
